Series Course Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective: April 1, 2026
ayora operates a reasonable refund policy so that students can sign up with confidence.
At the same time, online live classes involve advance preparation — booking international instructors, arranging interpretation and operations, and producing course materials — so once a course has begun, refunds are calculated to reflect the classes already delivered and the preparation costs already incurred.
1. Cancellation before the course starts
If you cancel before the course starts, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
However, the actual refund completion date may vary depending on the processing schedule of your card issuer, payment provider, bank, or payment gateway.
2. Cancellation after the course starts
If you request a mid-course cancellation for personal reasons after the course has begun, the refund will be calculated based on the remaining amount after deducting the items below.
The following items are deducted:
- Registration fee or operations preparation fee
- Tuition for sessions already held
- Digital content already provided — course materials, PDFs, replay videos, community access, etc.
- A 10% cancellation fee on the remaining tuition
In other words, after the course has started, you will not simply be refunded "all remaining sessions." The refund amount is calculated after subtracting classes already delivered and preparation costs already incurred.
3. About the registration / operations preparation fee
Some series courses may include a registration fee or operations preparation fee.
This fee covers the following advance preparation:
- Booking international instructors and securing schedules
- Assigning interpreters and operations staff
- Course onboarding and community setup
- Preparing course materials and class notes
- Setting up live class operations
Accordingly, once the course has started, the registration / operations preparation fee may be excluded from the refundable amount.
4. How completed sessions are counted
Sessions that have already taken place are treated as delivered, regardless of whether the student actually attended.
As a result, sessions are not eligible for refund in cases such as:
- Missing a class due to a personal scheduling conflict
- Arriving late or leaving early
- Being unable to join because of a personal internet connection issue
- Being unable to attend because of a personal device issue
- Receiving the class link but not joining for personal reasons
Because online live classes are delivered in real time at a scheduled time, sessions are treated as properly delivered even when a student is unable to attend due to personal circumstances.
5. When ayora or the instructor cancels a class
If a class is cancelled or cannot be properly delivered due to ayora's or the instructor's circumstances, that session will be compensated in one of the following ways:
- A make-up class
- A substitute class
- A refund for that session
However, when participation is hindered by the student's own network, device, or connection environment, this is not considered ayora's responsibility.
6. Refund example — series course
For example, suppose a 12-session series course is purchased for KRW 240,000. The course detail page may show:
- Total paid: KRW 240,000
- Registration / operations preparation fee: KRW 30,000
- Tuition: KRW 210,000
- Tuition per session: KRW 17,500
If you request cancellation after 2 sessions have been held, the refund is calculated as follows.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Total paid | KRW 240,000 |
| Registration / operations preparation fee deducted | -KRW 30,000 |
| 2 sessions already held deducted | -KRW 35,000 |
| Remaining tuition | KRW 175,000 |
| 10% cancellation fee deducted | -KRW 17,500 |
| Final refund | KRW 157,500 |
Actual refunds may vary depending on each course's price, session count, registration / operations preparation fee, and which materials have been provided.

8. Guiding principles
ayora respects students' legitimate cancellation requests.
However, online live classes are a service that is prepared together with instructors, interpreters, operations staff, course materials, and community management. Therefore, once a course has begun, refunds are calculated to reflect the classes already delivered and the preparation costs already incurred.
Matters not specified in this refund policy follow applicable laws and Korea's Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards.
